Hi everyone,
Last week I spent in Malta with my class, where we got the opportunity to have a guided tour on the cruise ship MSC Seaview, since our school is in a partnership with the company.
For the ones among you not knowing, MSC stands for „Mediterranean Shipping Company“. In 1988, MSC entered the cruise business by buying the liner Monterey. Nowadays, MSC cruises is fully owned by Rafaela and Gianluigi Aponte.
On Wednesday, September 28th, we arrived at the harbour of Valletta at about 11:30 a.m. After lunch we visited the remaining four decks of 20 we hadn’t been able to see before lunch. Our guide told us that there were actually 19 decks on the ship, but since number 17 means bad luck for the Italians, they just skipped deck 17.
On the highest decks were mainly outdoor-pools, casinos, bowling halls, the theatre, in general just areas where people can have fun and relax. Deck 18 had a bridge made out of glass, connecting the two sides of the ship. The view from up there was amazing! You could’ve a look of the whole harbour of Valletta.
I think the capital city is beautiful! What about you? Have you ever been to Valletta or are you planning on visiting this city? Let me know in the comments! I think you really should, you’re missing out on something!
So I think that’s all for now. You will hear from me soon, I’m going to keep you updated!
