Our culture trip to Malta

Today I would like to report about our class trip to beautiful Malta. I’ll go into more detail about Thursday, but before that I’d like to give some general information about the island.

Malta is the southernmost country in Europe and lies south of Italy. With about 525,000 inhabitants, most of whom live in the capital Valletta, and about 316 km2, it is a very small island.

My class went there with our class teacher on Monday morning, and we arrived back in Vienna at the airport on Saturday night.

Now I will go into more detail about what we did on Thursday. Our day started with breakfast at 9 a.m. and then Lina and I went to the nearby supermarket to get some snacks for the boat trip. A shuttle bus took us to Valletta, where our boat departed. It was rented only for our class for the whole day.

When we went out to the sea, we were all very surprised how fast the boat could go. I thought it would be quite slow and rather boring, but it was the complete opposite. Luckily, I had a seat in the upper corner so that I, as well as many other of my classmates, hardly got wet by the high waves. My absolute favourite was when we docked at the Blue Lagoon and jumped into the beautiful and light blue sea. I will never forget that.

Of course, we saw many other beautiful places and bays. Afterwards we had a short rest in a beach cafe until the shuttle bus picked us up again. When we got back to the hotel, we got ready and then went to the club to party as a class. It was a very nice day for all of us and Thursday was my favourite day of the whole week because our class community was also  strengthened on this day.

I would be very happy about nice comments and hope that I could give you more insight into our trip.
